TIME TRAVEL TO THE PAST

 

I think that if I had to travel through time, I would prefer to go to the past, I find some of the mysteries we have today to be very intriguing, such as: Da Vinci's Gioconda is a mystery, to see how Michelangelo sculpted David, and others. It would be very great to travel to the Renaissance to be able to meet all the artists If I could, I would like to travel through different periods of time to the past, see the construction of different buildings, like the Greek temples, pyramids and being able to see how each empire livrd. I would love to be able to meet each artist and musician of each era, I find their works very interesting, to be able to see what they were inspired to do each piece or how their life was, I want to be able to talk to each one. I honestly don't know if I would like to stay in the past forever, I see it as to be momentarily, I would miss those people important to me from the present very much, in the past they would not exist, I could only share time with family members that I didn't get to know from the family tree (it would be very interesting to see my roots), if I got sick in the past I could definitely die from it as there wasn't much medical progress. It would be so entertaining to travel through time, but I think I'm satisfied with just imagining what it would be like to travel in the past, because my life, my loved ones and many of the things I'm used to are in the present.

MY FAVORITE PHOTOGRAPHY

We all have a photo that reminds us of a good time in our lives or we like it because we look amazing, in my case one of the photos I like the most is one from a photo shoot I had in September last year, the photo was taken by a friend, who did an incredible job with her camera. We took several portrait photos in Santa Lucia, it was too really fun and a very good experience, I feel that one of the reasons why I like it is because days before that session a relationship I had had just ended, that person had damaged my self-esteem and many times he said that he did not like my dress style, he forbade me to wear some clothes that I loved. On the session I put on all the clothes that that person did not like, I felt so free, beautiful and I think that session helped me heal a part of me that was damaged and insecure. I will always remember this photograph as an important moment in my life.

MY BUCKET LIST

  I must admit that for each New Year I make a list with wishes that I hope to achieve in the year, I usually always ask for being healthy, I consider it is something essential and that over the years I have had more awareness about, learning to value my health more. The second thing I would add to my list is to have my own workshop to do my projects, it is a little difficult to find a place that is spacious, as I need the space to work on ceramics, have my own ceramic kiln and a place to teach classes, and I think it would be a place that I would share with my friends so that they can do their projects and also with people who are interested in learning ceramics. The third thing I would like to do is travel, I love to visit new places and it would be very great to be in the company of my mom, because as far as I have memories she has always been working, striving for me and my brother, she has always supported me in everything I do, that’s why I would like to take her on a trip no matter where the destination is.

I would add endless more things to the list, but I prefer to emphasize on the ones I already mentioned because they are the most meaningful to me, I hope that in the long term I can fulfill some more wishes from my list, I think that’s all for today, see you in a next blog!

My favorite series

 

Hello everyone! This week’s theme is the favourite series or programs, who hasn’t seen a series in their life? I think many of us grew up watching TV and watching endless programs that we don’t remember anymore. One of my favourite series is Friends, I remember that from the beginning it didn’t catch my attention, but while I finished each episode I was getting more invested in it and enjoying it much more, I started watching the series in 2016 and I think it has marked me since I saw it when I had depression, its episodes full of comedy raised my spirits so much.
I could say that one of my favourite characters in the series is Joey, he is one of the ones that makes me laugh the most and his gestures are very funny. I have seen too many series in my life and I think I tend to watch mainly the comedies, but I also like documents based on real events, such as serial killers and unresolved cases.

One of the series that has caught my attention is The Office, so many people have recommended it to me and they have told me that it is very good, its plot tends to use a lot of comedy and black humour involved, I just hope to have some time to be able to watch it. Things that I would change from my faculty

 Hello everyone! Many of the institutions present problems or have things that to our liking do not work completely well, in my arts faculty in my opinion it presents infrastructure problems, when it is winter many of the times it rains classrooms are flooded, so it would be a good change ti improve the roof so it can support the amount of water it rains. My curricular mesh is new, I am part of the first generation with the new changes, but many contents, information or artistic references have not taught us and instead, they have put branches that I think are not at all functional nor contribute to my career, so I would change that and put more hours in the central and complementary workshops, in the theoretical branches pass the content that have not yet passed It makes you want to participate or attend your classes, I think that respect for both students and teachers is essential, that’s why I would make a change in those types of situations.

My career does not use much technology, since a lot of what we do is practical, like painting, making engravings and different disciplines, I like photography, but like many of my friends, we do not have cameras, so that closes the doors to learn. I would like the faculty to lend cameras to its students or technological materials that a lot of the times we can't afford. I think that kind of change would be quite difficult, but I hope that one day it will.

The best concert of my life

Hello everyone! I really like music and I had the experience of being at Paul McCartney’s concert in 2019, it was his last in concert in Chile so it was very important for me to go to see him. McCartney was part of the Beatles, one of the most popular and influential bands in modern music, who later separated from the band to continue his solo life and form the band Wings with his wife Linda. Therefore in the concert he sang songs from both bands, making his show more varied, and there were screens in the concert projecting images of the Beatles and Paul when they were young, all his fans were ecstatic and euphoric with their songs, specially when Paul tried to speak to us in Spanish and played with the audience.

It was a great a day for me, I was very happy to be seeing a former member of the Beatles perform, listening to him live and so close to me, but I also was tired, because I had been standing for a long period of time and my feet really hurt, but it was an incredible experience that I will never forget.

The country I would like to visit

Hello everyone! More than a few of us would like to travel all over the world, but my dream is to travel to Italy, since over the years it has contributed to art and architecture with its large buildings. I would love to be able to visit St. Peter's Basilica, the coliseum, appreciate the architecture of each cathedral in Florence, go to the Sistine chapel to see Michelangelo's frescos, visit museums and I definitely wouldn’t leave without trying their delicious pasta or a pizza!🍕 If I had the opportunity I would like to study in Italy, since throughout my years in my career it has been very important for everything that they have contributed, from being one of the first civilisations, having great painters, architects and sculptors and even the anatomical drawings of Leonardo Da Vinci have been a great contribution to medicine. But I wouldn’t like to live there, because all my life there, because a big part of my family and friends live in Chile and I would miss them too much. I hope the day comes when I can be walking on the streets of Italy. 🇮🇹🍝
